For the Love of Moxie Podcast

Jen Hatmaker and Glennon Doyle are two of my very favorite authors and they did a podcast together on Jen’s For the Love of Moxie podcast series that is hilarious, brilliant and oh so very relevant and full of truth.

Truth that inspired me to take notes while listening because I wanted to capture and remember it. Gems of truth regarding letting go of the quest for perfection and fitting in and the freedom that release has to offer.

Trusting ourselves and listening to our own inner knowing…..which as women we are trained and told by society NOT to do under any circumstances, ever. And which is complete BS.

The lie that we’re doing life wrong when it feels hard and challenging. The reality that as Glennon stated “the brutal doesn’t break us because the beautiful sustains us”.

These two ladies are each fabulous and it’s well worth listening to their conversation at For the Love Of Moxie.

In my own experience, trusting myself and using my voice to speak my truth absolutely alienates and invites rejection from people. I also know it to be the most powerful way of opening the door to genuine connection with the most heartfelt, loving and genuine people I have ever known.

Those heartfelt people who don’t deny the messiness that is the human experience are the ones I intentionally choose to have in my life these days. They are amazing and I am grateful to know them.

Jen Hatmaker’s latest book Of Mess and Moxie is fabulous and Glennon’s most recent book Love Warrior is about her journey of learning to trust herself. Both are highly recommended reading.
