Union County NC Home Buyers and School Assignments

Union County NC, located just outside of Charlotte has long been popular with home buyers in the area.

If you are considering buying a home in Union County, you need to know about the recently approved school redistricting.

In March 2014 the proposed redistricting plan was approved and there are a LOT of neighborhoods affected.

School assignments are ALWAYS subject to change, it happens in Charlotte and happens in other counties as well.

For home buyers considering moving to or moving within Union County, DO NOT rely on what the current school assignments are for any given home. This also goes for doing home searches by school – that may or may not be accurate for the 2014-2015 school year.

If schools are an important factor to you as a home buyer, the link below is to maps including neighborhoods affected:

Some neighborhoods aren’t affected by the school redistricting but there are a LOT that are affected. When buying a home, schools can be a very important consideration so if you’re considering Union County homes for sale please know you’ll have to do some additional research!
