Buying a Home in Charlotte NC, What Appliances are Included?

When buying a home in Charlotte NC, a common question is what appliances will be included?

Typically, the oven/range, dishwasher and any built-in microwave are included but really it comes down to whatever is specified in the purchase contract.

It’s not uncommon for buyers to ask that the refrigerator remain and sellers may or may not be willing to include the fridge. Washer and dryer can also be requested and would be another point of negotiation.

The most important thing to remember is that whatever is agreed to needs to be IN WRITING! If it’s verbal, it doesn’t exist. Any appliances that will stay with the Charlotte home you’re buying need to be clearly specified in the contract.

It’s also a good idea to clarify the make and/or style of any appliances to remain – so you don’t end up with a dorm size fridge in place of that French door stainless one…just saying 🙂

Have questions about what appliances will remain with any Charlotte home for sale you’re considering? Talk with your buyers agent and make sure everyone’s clear on what’s agreed upon!
