Charlotte NC Home Buyer Question: Inspection Attendance

When buying a home in Charlotte the home inspection is a very important part of the due diligence process.

Should you as the buyer attend the inspection? Should your buyers agent attend too?

In my opinion, YES to both. The buyer AND buyer’s agent should both attend the home inspection.

Not to do the inspector’s job but to hear what the inspector has to say and ask any questions.

Yes, you’ll get a written report but it can be incredibly helpful to hear firsthand any points/notes/info the inspector points out as they’re performing the inspection.

There are some different opinions on home inspection attendance and that’s cool. What works for me is to attend the home inspection along with my buyers.
