Pet Adoption at South Park Mall & CMPD Animal Care and Control May 2013 Events

smudge 5The monthly CMPD Animal Care and Control Pet Adoption Event at Charlotte’s South Park Mall is this Saturday, May 4th from 10am-4pm.

In addition to the South Park mall pet adoption event (which is held the first Saturday of every month) Charlotte NC’s Animal Care and Control Department will be holding the monthly FREE Rabies Vaccine clinic, plus a low-cost Microchip Clinic, participating in several community events and there is also a Community Yard Sale benefitting the shelter’s Second Chance Medical Fund.


Friday May 3rd, 2013 is Underdogs: The Journey Home Event at The Vin Master
Wine, food, guest speaker and silent auction with event proceeds benefitting CMPD Animal Care & Control, Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love and Road to Home Canine Refuge
When: 6pm-8:30pm Friday May 3rd at The Vin Master, 2000-610 South Blvd Charlotte 28203

Saturday May 4th, 2013 is the South Park Mall Pet Adoption Event

What: Dogs, Cats, Puppies and Kittens available for adoption and looking for a great forever home
When: 10am-4pm Saturday May 4th at South Park Mall in CENTER Court

Microchip Day at the Shelter is Thursday May 9th
What: $5 Microchips (no county residency requirement) and WBTV will be on hand covering the event

The FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic is Saturday May 11th, 2013
(second Saturday of every month) at the shelter. This month they are also holding a Low Cost Microchip Clinic ($5 cash or check) at the same time as the rabies vaccine clinic at the shelter

Animal Care and Control Yard Sale Saturday May 18th 2013 at Albemarle Rd Presbyterian Church
What: Annual Yard Sale with proceeds benefitting CMPD Animal Care and Control’s Second Chance Medical Fund
When: Saturday May 18th 7am to 11am at Albemarle Rd Presbyterian Church Family life Center, 6740 Albemarle Rd Charlotte 28212
