Fresh Strawberries from a Local Charlotte NC Farm, Now Open for the 2012 Season!

The Hall Family Farm, a locally owned farm in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte NC opened for the 2012 strawberry season today April 6, 2012!

You can pick your own strawberries, or take the easy route like I did and pick up some pre-picked strawberries.  Either way this is a GREAT local business and well worth a stop if you live in or are near the Ballantyne area this spring.

The farm is open 9am-7pm daily during the Spring season which officially started today.

Located on Providence Rd West, just off Johnston Rd (about 1/4 mile east of the Johnston Rd/Providence Rd West intersection) it’s literally minutes from the heart of Ballantyne and not far from I-485.

The farm has kids activities, hay rides, and a farm stand with jellies, drinks and of course strawberries.

I stopped over there this afternoon and at this rate I’ll have to make another trip soon since this batch doesn’t stand a very good chance of lasting through the weekend!!!

Check out and become a fan of the Hall Family Farm Facebook Page for updates and info right from the source

Have a great weekend 🙂
