Great Tip on How to Clean the Glass on an Oven Door

I saw this tip using just baking soda and water on the Somewhat Simple Blog and just had to try it! As in, try it the night I saw it on the blog it was that inspiring 🙂

I’d given up on getting all the baked on grime off the oven door glass long ago but this tip was simple enough I figured it couldn’t hurt to give it a try.

Mix baking soda and water together to make a runny paste. Spread all over the oven door glass. Leave the mix on for at least 15 minutes (with the oven door open!)

Wipe off with a damp cloth or paper towels.

Now, mine didn’t just magically wipe clean and shiny (like I kinda hoped it would!), I did have to scrub for a bit but sure enough, that crap I’d given up on started to come off on the towel.

The oven door looks TONS better than it did. Still not perfect and I may have to do a repeat session to see if I can get the last bits but sooooo much better than literally any other cleaner that I’ve tried.
