I first heard about the Daily Mile site last year around the holidays and I’ve used it since then for tracking (the occasional) running I’ve done.
I’ve always liked it but in late August I started seriously getting back into consistently running and that site has really been a great help and even motivator for me!
In addition to one place for tracking all your running or fitness activities (and progress), there are challenges that you can sign up for and that’s what has really been so helpful at least recently with getting me out the door and past excuses 🙂
Honestly I’ve never been super consistent with running but a funny thing happened on the way to going more than 5 miles – I actually started to feel like a runner and started going much farther than I’d even attempted before.
If you’d told me 2 months ago I’d be logging more than 5 or 6 miles at a time, I wouldn’t have believed it. But….I’d signed up for a challenge on Daily Mile to do 50 miles in the month of September and I was going to finish that challenge!!! Determined or just stubborn, whatever it was it worked.
If you’re interested in a way to track your workouts OR could use a little extra motivation check out the Daily Mile site. It’s not going to do the work for you but it really is a cool fitness oriented website and tool.
