The Secret Chocolatier in Charlotte NC. The Secret? They’re AMAZING!!!!

I was over at Providence Plaza last week and happened to notice a little shop tucked in the main level (in the building across from Poppy’s Bagels).  The sign caught my eye, done in an elegant yet understated way and when I saw it said “Secret Chocolatier” I decided I had to stop in and check it out.

I’m SO glad I did!!!!!  This place is an absolute gem and if you love or even like chocolate at all you NEED to know about it 🙂

Turns out this shop is a family owned and operated local Charlotte area business and their passion is chocolate.  But not just any chocolate.  You won’t find this in any aisle at the grocery store.  It’s unbelievably decadent and well, a simply phenomenal chocolate experience.

They don’t use any preservatives or additives and take inspiration from seasonal flavors when it comes to their chocolate creations.  I had a mint truffle and salted chocolate caramel.  Divine!

Oh, and I bought a coconut truffle but made the mistake of offering “a taste” to my husband who promptly devoured the entire thing as I watched in horror!

If you’re looking for a really special chocolate experience, check out the Secret Chocolatier.  Not only is this a locally owned family shop, they have truly incredible quality chocolate creations.

From chocolate truffles to cakes in a jar, brownies, dessert sauces and caramels this place is a chocolate lovers paradise.  The day I was there they were sampling a chocolate pate – incredible!

The store itself isn’t fancy or overdone (I think it’s perfect), this isn’t a place all about pretense, just all about really exceptional chocolate creations.

The Secret Chocolatier is located at Providence Plaza which is right at the corner of Providence Rd and Sharon Amity – centrally located in south Charlotte and just minutes from South Park, Uptown and the Cotswold area.
