How to Check School Assignments in Charlotte NC

Schools and school assignments are common home buyer questions when it comes to Charlotte NC homes for sale.

In the listing information, schools may or may not be noted (it’s not required to include them) but even if they are included it’s a good idea to double-check that info if it’s important to you as a home buyer.

The easiest way to check on school assignments for any given Charlotte NC home for sale is through the county geo-portal address information website.

Go to Charlotte Mecklenburg NC Geoportal and enter the address at the search bar that’s at the top Left of the website.

As you type it’ll pull up results just below the search box – click on the address you’re looking for.

That will then pull up a map of the location, address information and link options at the left side of the page.

Scroll down on the left side to get to the Schools option and by clicking on that you’ll be able to see current (and as of now, next year’s) school assignments for that home.

There’s also options for info on transportation, community, voting, services (parks, libraries, police and fire stations) all specific to that address.

And DON’T assume same neighborhood always means the same school assignments!  If schools are a factor in your home  buying decision, it’s best to check by address.

If you’re a home buyer wondering about school assignments for Charlotte NC area homes for sale that you’re considering, check the Geoportal site.
