When Selling Your Charlotte NC Home, Your Competition is NOT Just Within Your Neighborhood

 

When selling a home in Charlotte NC, the competition you’ll face is in the form of other homes for sale and those are not just the other homes on the market in your neighborhood!!!

Competition for home sellers means the other options that home buyers have to  consider and choose from and most home buyers don’t have one neighborhood and one neighborhood alone that they’ll consider.

Buyers look by school, location, age or style of a neighborhood, whether there’s a homeowners association….many different factors that are important to them.  And they’ll usually have several neighborhoods that they’re willing to consider.

So why does any of that matter to a home seller in neighborhood ABC?   It matters a LOT because the competition you’ll be up against isn’t just within neighborhood ABC, it’s also in other similar neighborhoods in a similar location at a similar price point.

While the boundary of recently sold comparable homes may very well be within your neighborhood, the competition your Charlotte NC home for sale will face extends beyond those neighborhood boundaries

Do you know what you’re really up against?  Does your listing agent? 

When selling your Charlotte NC home, similar, recently sold nearby homes are important but so is the competition from other available homes on the market, even the ones that are outside of your specific neighborhood.

Buyers will be comparing your home to the competition so we can’t ignore or pretend that it’s just within your neighborhood, because it isn’t. That’s not how home buyers search for homes.

When selling your Charlotte NC home, it’s all about Price, Condition and how your home compares to the Competition.
