When Selling Your Charlotte NC Home You Can Be ON the Market or IN the Market

 

It’s really not hard to have your Charlotte NC home ON the market.  Actually it’s as easy as going to the local hardware store, picking up a “For Sale” sign, writing your phone # on that fine piece of equipment and planting it in your front yard.  There, your Charlotte NC home’s “on” the market.

If your goal’s to get “on” the market (and stay there) ask any price you want, ignore the competing homes for sale nearby, amount of inventory, and make sure to include some “room to negotiate” in the price. Oh, and get comfortable because you may end up “on” the market for quite a while.

Now if you’re serious about selling and moving on from your home, you may want to consider getting “IN” the Charlotte NC real estate market.

The difference between being “on” the market and IN it?  Charlotte NC homes for sale that are “in” the local real estate market are:

Priced competitively (compared to recently sold AND active competing homes for sale)
Responsive to shifts in market conditions
Available and easy to show to home buyers
Clean, inviting, clutter-free, fresh and move-in ready
Accessible online with tons of photos that show off the home’s features

Being IN the Charlotte NC real estate market isn’t easy for home sellers but if it’s really and truly your #1 goal to be able to move on from that home it’s NOT enough to be on the market, you’ve got to get IN the market.  

There are Charlotte NC homes being sold and the ones that home buyers are choosing are the ones that offer them the most Value for the money. 

I’ll let you in on a little secret from working with my buyer clients…they’re ruthless!!!  They have so many options, elimination of contenders happens constantly and they can be brutal.

Real estate market conditions are fluid, they shift and change all the time.  Being competitive when selling a home in the Charlotte NC real estate market is an ongoing process and requires flexibility and a commitment to your goal of selling your home but it’s a lot better than sitting “on” the market, I mean really that’s just no fun for anyone!
