Your Price Range Doesn’t Define You and It Should NEVER Define the Quality of Service You Receive

 

Your price range when buying or selling a home in Charlotte NC is an important aspect of your real estate journey. 

It most definitely impacts and influences what options home buyers have to consider, neighborhoods, locations, what features you can expect to realistically find in a home, how many other buyers are looking at the same homes. 

For sellers it influences the competition, the level of inventory (supply of homes for sale), how many qualified buyers are shopping in that price range.

Sure, price range is important.  But whatever your price range is when buying or selling a home in Charlotte NC, that should not EVER determine or influence the quality of service you receive from a real estate professional (or any real estate related professional for that matter).

Your price range also doesn’t define you (or it shouldn’t anyway).  You’re not $100,000 or $2 million…..you’re a qualified home BUYER or SELLER and the level of respect and quality professional services you expect from a real estate agent shouldn’t be price range dependent.

This issue of customer service quality being price dependent really irks me (in case that’s not readily apparent!).  I see it a lot in retail and in restaurants too. 

Over the years it’s come up in real estate, mainly in the form of clients mentioning that they’re “in a really low price range” as though they should have to apologize for that. 

Or that they’ve had past experiences where they “didn’t feel they were a priority” which may or may not have been related to price range, could just be poor customer service skills but still….

So if you’re a qualified home buyer or a motivated home seller, yes we’re going to have to talk about price range but not to determine the quality of real estate services you should expect.
