PGA Championship at Charlotte NC’s Quail Hollow Club

Charlotte NC’s Quail Hollow Club will host the PGA Championship….in 2017.  So, ok it’s 7  years away but it’s still great news for the Charlotte NC region, whether or not you’re a golf fan.

The Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte is already host to the Wells Fargo Championship (formerly the Wachovia Championship) each spring which as of now will continue through 2014.

Located in the heart of south Charlotte NC on Glen Eagles Rd (between Park Rd and Quail Hollow Rd) the Quail Hollow Club was originally designed in the 1960’s but has since undergone updating and revisions as recently as 2003.

News that the PGA of America has chosen Charlotte NC’s Quail Hollow Club as host for a PGA Championship is a great addition to Charlotte’s sports landscape and having been selected is a great compliment to Quail Hollow as well as Charlotte.

Hosting a PGA Championship is sure to bring lots of visitors to the Queen City and will most definitely have a positive economic impact for the Charlotte NC region.

Way to go Quail Hollow!
