Looking for Things to Do In Charlotte NC?

For newcomers and non-newcomers alike looking for things to do in Charlotte NC, http://www.meetup.com allows you to search by zip code or by interest and find meetup groups with upcoming events in Charlotte NC.

There’s a wide range of activities and interests, and it’s an additional resource for anyone looking to meet new people in the Charlotte area or for a chance to participate in local events that interest you.

I joined the Charlotte NC runners meetup group a while back and have gone to some of their runs (admittedly I haven’t made it to as many as I’d like though!), really cool, very inviting and welcoming group of people.  I use it as a motivation to get myself up early on Saturdays and commit to getting in a run, though they have lots of different days/times that they meet.  Also nice to join a group of people with an interest in running (plus there’s all different skill levels so it’s not intimidating!).

The running meetup group’s just an example of course, there’s really a wide array of interests and locations with meetups throughout the Charlotte area.  Just wanted to mention the site in case anyone’s looking for things to do in the Charlotte area or local group events/activities.
