Charlotte’s Festival in the Park Starts This Week!

  Charlotte NC’s annual Festival in the Park event starts this week, beginning Thursday September 24th at 6pm.   The festival takes place at Freedom Park, just south of Uptown Charlotte NC and will run from Thursday September 24th-Sunday September 27th 2009.  For daily hours, click here.

   If you’ve never been to the Festival in the Park and are looking for something to do around town this week/weekend Charlotte NC’s Festival in the Park is a great event, offering a laid back atmosphere and chance to explore arts and entertainment. 

  Festival in the Park is a popular event at a really beautiful setting at Charlotte NC’s Freedom Park.  It’s especially pretty in the evening with lights surrounding Freedom Park’s lake with artists booths, food and entertainment stages set up all around the lake.

   Browse art offerings, check out demonstrations, take in the entertainment and most of all just enjoy a local Charlotte NC event that’s a fall tradition.

   Now that the we’re almost into Fall and finally through with the height of heat and humidity it’s a great time of year to spend time outdoors and take advantage of local events in Charlotte NC.  Festival in the Park this week/weekend is a great place to start, and really budget friendly since admission is free 🙂
