If It Sounds Too Good To Be True….

When it comes to buying real estate in Charlotte NC, if it sounds too good to be true….it probably is.   Buying a house in Charlotte NC for pennies on the dollar or snapping up a once in a lifetime deal without any risk just isn’t reality.

The notion of scoring a fantastic house with little or no potential for pitfalls is certainly attractive but the reality is there are always, ALWAYS potential pitfalls and fine print that can really burn you if you’re so caught up in the “deal” you miss the big picture of what you’re really getting into.

What’s in the fine print, what are the risks, what rights do you have (contingencies), are there any additional costs to you the buyer, what is the potential for immediate expenses, repairs, costs that you’re taking on when buying a house in Charlotte NC?  This goes for bank owned houses, existing houses AND new construction homes in Charlotte NC.

Look, seriously I get that the “deal” notion is appealing but the cold hard reality is that not every “deal” is actually a true VALUE when it comes to buying real estate in Charlotte NC.

Whether or not a Charlotte NC house for sale offers VALUE involves researching and taking the time to consider what the house has to offer, what the recent neighborhood real estate activity has been doing, what other similar Charlotte NC homes for sale have to offer and comparing/evaluating those options, looking at the long term view when it comes to buying and successfully owning a home in Charlotte NC.

Being laser focused on the short term comes at the expense of the bigger picture and with real estate in Charlotte NC right now there are certainly many many homes for sale that do offer value but that’s not a superficial decision or evaluation, it takes time!

So if it sounds too good to be true when it comes to buying real estate in Charlotte NC just remember true value is never about hype and can’t be superficially evaluated.  If it were that easy, everyone could make millions buying and selling Charlotte NC real estate in the short term but that just isn’t reality.  Makes for good entertainment but doesn’t necessarily translate to real life…
